Adding via settings
When in settings, if you scroll down you should see the option ‘Add Custom Project’. When pressing it, SplameiPlay will prompt for the name, author and location of the file to run. After finishing, SplameiPlay will verify the details provided and if it’s valid, the project will be added and show on the home screen.
Adding via files
You can also install custom projects via files. These files allow other projects to be added to SplameiPlay that you can update, unlike detail custom projects.
Be careful about the custom projects you download as it could be malware that will compromise your device. Always make sure you trust the developer first.
Once you open the installer file or import it via settings, SplameiPlay will warn you about the dangers of custom project files. If you trust the developer, press ‘Yes’ otherwise, ‘No’. If you pressed ‘Yes’, SplameiPlay will add the project which will now be displayed when you update the home page.
Removing custom projects
Removing a custom project is the same as a native project: Go to the project page, scroll down to ‘Manage’ and press the ‘Uninstall this project’ button. SplameiPlay will remove the project from SplameiPlay and, if it’s a file custom project, the project files.
